Green Dot MoneyPak Scam

Caller claims to be from the IRS and that money is owed on taxes. Victims are then instructed to purchase a Green Dot MoneyPak card.

Imposter Sheriff/IRS Agent Scam

This scam, as reported by the Concord Monitor, is also done by people claiming to be from the IRS. If anyone calls you, claiming to be from the NH Sheriff's Department, and asks you to deposit money into an account for any reason, don't do it. Contact your local police, or the NH Sheriff Department, 225-5584. If the anyone calls you claiming to be from the IRS demanding you deposit money into an account, don't do it. Call the local police and ;file a complaint with the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1-800-366-4484
