Basic Information on Bankruptcy

The Federal Bankruptcy Court has a website called Bankruptcy Basics [1] that is designed to give information to the public about the Bankruptcy Court, bankruptcy process and procedure.

The New Hampshire Bar Association provides information on bankruptcy [2] as it applies to NH residents. The page explains the different types of bankruptcy, the advantages and limitations of the bankruptcy process, fees and requirements for filing, and the consequences of filing.

Additionally, 603 Legal Aid's Pro Bono Program [3] has information and resources to help low-income individuals with Chapter 7 bankruptcy and some debt collection issues. Call 800-639-5290.
